Only One

 Scripture Psalms 83:18 That they may know that You, whose name alone is the Lord, are The Most High over all the earth.

I Timothy 2:3-6 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Observation There is only One Lord God Most High, One Mediator between God and man, and One Savior, Jesus Christ, Who desires all to be saved.

Application May I be thankful each day for my salvation and be prayerful that all may know, hear of, and receive such a great salvation.

Prayer Thank You, Father, thank You, Jesus, for loving me, for being my Savior, may I too desire all to be saved.

Week Nineteen 2011 Status

I LOVE MY MOM!!! 5/7 11:48pm

There is nothing greater, nothhing more precious than God's gracious gift of eternal life. Yesterday I read a letter from a now sixteen year old young man, Jose Hurtado Calero, from Peru, whom I've sponsored through Compassion International, since he was about five. He shared that he had changed a bit and repented of his sins and asked me to pray for his family to do the same. Nothing matters more...I pray for all who need to receive that gift today. 5/9 8:32am

The LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.-Psalm 84:11 5/9 8:36am

Awake early before sunrise. Birds singin. A new day, a gracious gift from God! His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me. Thank You, Father! 5/10 5:31am

Only ONE is Good

All that’s good about you comes from the LORD..."only ONE is Good, that is God" and every Good and perfect gift comes from Him"…He is your strength…because there is trust He will/does save you…by faith trust in Him…God has a reputation to maintain…He will take care of and maintain you…”for His Name’s sake”…He is the strength you don’t have, “in your weakness He is strong”. God will help…do all you can and He will do all He can...He has given you a Helper, The Holy Spirit. God can/will deliver you no matter the situation. You are His child, adopted into His family. How much do you trust Him? Place situations, circumstances, relationships, ALL your life into His hands. “Trust in the LORD with ALL your heart”…Do you? Are you? Will you?-From last two verses of Psalm 37

But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their strength in the time of trouble.And the Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him. Psalms 37:39-40

You are my-Salvation, Strength, Helper, Deliverer, Savior...I can/will trust in You with ALL of my heart.

Thank You, Father, for saving me, delivering me, adopting me, giving me Your strength, for not leaving me alone, not leaving me an orphan but giving me the Gift of the Holy Spirit-my Helper, Comforter, Counselor, Constant Companion, Guide, Teacher. Revealer-revealing to me the mind and will of the Father...I would be ever aware of Your presence, led by You, walking in/by faith, following You...Walking and praying in The Spirit. I want/desire to be a good man, Your man, a man after Your own heart and I know I can only be all of that because of You in me. May my life be a living testimony of/for You, that others may see You in/through me, Your likeness, Your Light, that I am Your son.Be my strength and Helper moment by moment this day...this day I will/am trusting You with ALL my heart...this day I will/am committing ALL of my life into Your hands, this day I will/am committing ALL of my ways into Your hands, this day I will/am seeking, loving, trusting You with ALL of my heart. Yes,today, I would trust in You, Do good, Dwell/abide in You, feed on You/Your faithfulness, delight myself in You, commit my way to You.Thank You for Your Word, for speaking to my heart this day, in the still and quiet letting me know You...in quietness and cofidence in You, You give me, You are my strength, I am strong in/because of You. Thank You for loving me, being gracious to me, for hearing/answering my prayers, this prayer, as I ask it in Jesus' Name. AMEN.

Status Week Sixteen 2010-Psalms

Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge . . . Psalm 57:1

Cast your burden upon the LORD, and He shall sustain you: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. ~Psalm 55:22

The LORD will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me- A prayer to the God of my life. ~Psalm 42:8

Let all those who seek You, rejoice and be glad in You; Let such as love Your salvation say continually, "The LORD be magnified!" ~Psalm 40:16

PSALM Prayer/Meditations 57-60

Psalm 57-O God, be merciful to me for my soul trusts in You…You are my refuge…as I cry out to You send forth Your mercy and truth. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;Let Your glory be above all the earth. I would have a steadfast heart , I will praise You, I will sing to You. Your mercy, O Lord, reaches unto the heavens and Your truth to the skies.

Psalm 58-Let me be one who speaks forth righteousness and stands for justice…Your righteousness in my heart. Thank You for being both a just and merciful God.

Psalm 59-O my God, You are my Deliverer and Defender…my Savior and Helper…my Strength and Shield…my God of mercy…to You I will sing praises.

Psalm 60-O God, You are my Deliverer, Restorer, Savior, Helper…through You I will do valiantly.

PSALM Prayer/Meditations 52-56

Psalm 52-LORD, Your goodness toward me, to me endures continually…I would love You and what is good, speak forth Your righteousness, speak words that bring healing and hope…You are my strength,I will trust in the abundance of Your riches, strengthen myself in Your righteousness…I trust in Your mercy forever, I will praise You forever…I will be ever aware of Your presence in me, with me, and I will wait upon Your Name, for it is good.

Psalm 53-O, my God, thank You for looking down on me, for watching over me, for Your protection and provision,for Your grace. I would seek after You with ALL my heart, seek You first, be a doer, seeker of Your Word and what is good…Thank You for my salvation, for bringing me, adopting me, into Your forever family…I will rejoice and be glad in You.

PSALM 54-Hear and give ear to my prayer, O God, my Savior, my Redeemer, my Strength, my Protector, Defender, Provider, Deliverer, Father, Friend…Forever I will praise Your Name, O LORD, for it is good…Thank You for Your goodness to me.

Psalm 55-I know, LORD, that You give ear to and hear my voice, my prayer, and supplications and that You attend to me…so I will call upon You my God, my Savior…Evening and morning and at noon I will pray and cry aloud to You and know that You will/do hear and answer, and will/do give me a peace in my heart and mind that surpasses understanding. I will cast all my cares and burdens upon You, for I know You care for me, sustain me, uphold me with Your hand…I will trust You with ALL my heart.

Psalm 56-Be merciful to me, O LORD my God and Father, in You alone I place my trust and I will not fear, for Your perfect love casts out fear and You have not given me a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind, You give me strength, power, courage, victory…with You, through You, by You I am more than a conqueror…my thanks be to You for giving me the victory through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.I render praise to You and Your Word for You have delivered my soul from death and given me the gift of eternal life…You havee kept my feet from falling, I would walk with You and in, by Your Light, Your Word…walk in the Light as You are in the light…Your Light in me, through me that other may see/receive You and that You would be glorified. Amen.

PSALM Prayer/Meditations 45-51

Psalm 45-Grace is poured upon Your lips, O LORD, You are glorious, majestic, full of Truth, humility, and righteousness. Your throne is established forever...I will worship You and make Your Name to be known and remembered.

Psalm 46-O LORD, my God, You are my refuge, strength, ever present Helper. I would be still and know You.

Psalm 47-O LORD Most High, You are awesome, the great King over all the earth, You reign over all the nations, You sit on Your holy throne and are greatly exalted...I will sing praises to You alone.

Psalm 48-Great are You, O LORD, Your right hand is full of righteousness...You are my God, the One and only True God forever and ever, You are my Guide both now and forever.

Psalm 49-LORD, I am listening, giving ear to You and Your Word…I would speak wise words out of the abundance of what You have placed in my heart, filling me and oveflowing through/out of me. Only You can redeem, ransom my soul and give me eternal life. The redemption of my soul was costly to/for You…I cannot thank You enough…You have redeemed my soul from the power of the grave by/through Your ressurection power and one day will receive me fully into Your presence for eternity. Hallelujah.

Psalm 50-The Mighty One, God The LORD, shine forth in me and through me. The world is Yours and all its fullness. I will call upon You in the day of trouble and You will deliver me and You shall be glorified. I would sing praise and glorify You…order my steps aright, O LORD, I pray, today, Amen.

Psalm 51-A prayer of repentance-Have mercy on me according to Your lovingkindness and the multitude of Your tender mercies…wash me, cleanse me, blot out my transgressions. You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know Your wisdom…”Oh how I desire to know and be filled with and abide in Your Truth and deep within me to know Your wisdom and walk in it.” Purge me, wash me, make me to hear joy and gladness. Created in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Let me live in the joy of Your salvation and uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Let me, give me opportunities to share with and teach others Your ways that they come to salvation. Open my lips and my mouth shall show forth Your praises and my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.

PSALM Prayer/Meditations 10-16

Psalm 10-LORD, You Who are The King forever, You see, You observe trouble and grief, You hear the desire of the humble, You will prepare their heart…the helpless commits himself to You, You are the helper of the fatherless, yes, You hear and do justice to the fatherless and oppressed. LORD, open my ears to hear their cries, my eyes to see their need, my mouth/words/voice to speak to/for them, my heart, my hands, my life to reach out and be Your helper, servant, minister to/for them, I pray.

Psalm 11-LORD, in You alone I place my trust…I will trust You with ALL my heart. LORD, in Your holy temple and from Your heavenly throne I know that You see and watch over me. Open the eyes of my heart that I may behold Your countenance, that Your countenance would be reflected through me, shine in me and through me so that others would see You, know You, and that You would be glorified.

Psalm 12-LORD, Your Words are pure Words, like silver tried in the fire and purified seven times. You shall keep them, O LORD, You shall preserve them from this generation forever. I will trust You and Your Word with ALL my heart. I will be a doer of Your Word.

Psalm 13-O LORD my God and Father, hear and consider my prayers, for I place my wholehearted trust in You. Thank You for extending mercy and grace to me. My heat rejoices in Your salvation. I will sing praises to You for Your bountiful, immeasurable , blessings/provision both now and forever.

Psalm 14-LORD I know that You are looking on me, watching me…I would be ever aware/mindful of Your constant presence, peace, provision, protection. I would seek You and do good-be a doer of Your Word. You are my refuge, counselor, salvation, deliverer. Moment by moment I will rejoice and be glad in You.

Psalm 15-Father,I would be ever aware and thankful that my body is Your holy temple…You living and abiding in me and I in You and Your Word. I would walk uprightly, work/do righteousness, and hide/speak/live/meditate upon Your Word

Psalm 16-Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust."You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You." O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain me. In You I have an eternal, incorruptible inheritance. I thank You for the counsel You give to my heart. I will set You always before me. With You at my right hand I shall not be moved.So, my heart is glad and will rest in hope.You will show me the path of life; In Your presence I have fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

PSALM Prayer/Meditations 6-9

Psalm 6-O LORD, have mercy on me for I am weak. Hear my voice, my supplication, and receive my prayer.

Psalm 7-O LORD my God, in You I put my trust, my deliverer, defender, and salvation. I will praise You according to Your righteousness and sing praise to Your Name.

Psalm 8-O LORD, my Lord, how excellent is Your Name in all the earth.

Psalm 9-O LORD, I will praise You with my whole heart; I will tell of Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You. I will sing praise to Your holy Name…the Name above all names. You are my refuge, my refuge in times of trouble, in You alone I place my trust…I will trust You and seek You with ALL my heart. I know and am thankful that You hear my cry, my call, my prayer. Psalm 1-I will walk in Your counsel, stand in Your path, sit at Your right hand. O LORD, I will delight in Your Word and meditate on it day and night that I may be a doer of Your Word and bear everlasting fruit for Your glory.

Psalm 2-O LORD, I will serve You, I will rejoice in You, I will put my trust in You.

Psalm 3-LORD, You are my help, shield, glory, sustainer, salvation and the One Who lifts me up. Thank You for hearing and answering my prayers and for blessing my life.

Psalm 4-O LORD God of my righteousness, I know You hear me when I prayer and call out to You. Pour out Your mercy upon me. You have put gladness in my heart. I will trust You with all my heart. I will meditate within my heart on my bed and be still. I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

Psalm 5-O LORD, give ear to my words, heed to the voice of my cry, consider my meditation, for to You I will pray. My voice You shall hear in the morning; in the morning I will direct it to You and I will look up. I will come into Your presence and worship You. Lead me in Your righteousness; make Your way straight before my face. I will trust in You, I will be joyful and rejoice in You. Bless me LORD I pray and surround me with Your favor as a shield.

Remembering

Where do I begin? What do I say in my first post? To begin the year of 2006 I sent out a devotional/prayer e-mail on each Monday. These were mainly excerpts from my personal journal. Somehow at some point I got out of the habit and so much has happened in the in between. Recently one person I used to mail out to told me she missed my e-mails. So, here I am with my new blog site and ready to share again. It is my prayer that what is written and shared here will be a blessing and encouragement to all who partake of it. That it may be food and drink to the soul, delivered to me by the Bread of Life and Living Water to share with you.
"Blessed are all those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be fed"-Jesus

Seems as though the very early, even the pre-dawn moments of the morning are the most precious and intimate with my Father, my Abba. Jesus knew it was a special time, a needed time, and He set an example. Surely if Jesus needed this private time with His Father then how much more do I? I seem to have a more tender, open spirit in the stillness and quiet and I remember the words of the LORD in Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God..."

So, early this morning I listened and I wrote and now I share.
One Hope, Jesus Christ...
One Lord, Jesus Christ...
One Spirit, Holy Spirit...

(1 Corinthians 6:19-20) This body is Your temple, not mine own...bought at a price (1 Peter 1:18-19)...therefore to glorify God. Remember the price, remember the passion, remember the cross, remember that Jesus did that all for you, Jesus paid it all for you...look, turn your eyes on Jesus, focus on Jesus, enduring the cross for you, look full into His face and what do you see?

Amazing grace...
Amazing love flowing down,
From hands and feet that were nailed to a tree,
That grace flows down and covers me.

That is why Jesus came...to seek and save, to give His life for me (to me), to willingly lay it down, to ransom my soul, to offer Himself up for me...my Lord, my Savior, my salvation, my Jesus.
Oh to be one with You,
Oh to be more like You,
Oh to be transformed into Your image and likeness,
Oh to love You more and love more like You,
Oh to be full of grace and truth,
Oh for Your glory to shine,
Oh that others see You in me,
Oh that others see You through me.

At this time of year when I remember and celebrate Your coming into this world, I also remember anew and afresh the reason You came. You came, Jesus, to pay the highest, immeasurable price that only You could pay, for the greatest, immeasurable, eternal gift ever .
So, I would live a life of cherishing and sharing the gift, Your gift of grace and eternal life.
So, I would live a life of thanksgiving not only at this time of the year but every moment of every day. Thank You Abba! Thank You Jesus! Thank You Holy Spirit, my constant companion!
Today You minister to me, encourage me, focus me, love me. This day You help me remember...I need Your help, I need You, I need to remember and give thanks!
