PRESENT PRESENCE

 Advent-Coming, Arriving, PRESENT. God's presence with us is one of His greatest presents to us.

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11

 The Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel-God with us. Isaiah 7:14

LORD help us to focus on, be aware of and treasure Your constant, abiding presence with us. What would Christmas be like if we truly celebrated the present of God's presence?

Christmas is the season of hope. Children hope for the latest popular toy or game. Families hope that everyone can make it home for the holidays. But the hope that Christmas commemorates is much bigger than our holiday desires. JESUS, the “Desire of All Nations” (Hag. 2:7), HAS COME! He has “delivered us from the power of darkness,” bought our redemption, and forgiven our sins (Col. 1:13-14).Christ in us gives us the hope of glory. Status Week Fifty-One 2010

ADVENT-The Coming Messiah-So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered.And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.-Luke 2:6-7

ADVENT-The Coming Messiah-Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” Luke 2:10-12


ADVENT-The Coming Messiah-So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us." Matthew 1:22-23


ADVENT-The Coming Messiah-Every good GIFT and every perfect GIFT is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights...the GIFT of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Thanks be to God for His indescribable GIFT! James 1:17, Romans 6:23, 2 Corinthians 9:15

All I Really Want For Christmas

Christmas is truly an adoption story.Jesus Christ, the Son of God, leaving His heavenly home with all it's eternal riches and coming down into this lowly world. He was adopted into an earthly family by Mary and Joseph so that we could be adopted into His heavenly/forever family and be able to cry out "Abba,Father".

Two times in the Bible's New Testament the word "orphan" is used. When Jesus was teaching and preparing His disciples for His departure, He reassured them "I will not leave you comfortless/orphans". He would send them The Comforter, the Holy Spirit to live and abide in them. Jesus' brother James would later use the same word in referring to the fatherless/orphan"Pure and undefiled religion is to visit orphans and widows in their distress...".

In our world today there are many orphans, both spiritual and physical. There are many without family, both spiritual and physical. There are many who have never experienced the miracle of adoption, spiritual or physical. There are many waiting for us, as God's children, as His family, to welcome and invite them in.

Christmas, it is truly "The Adoption Story". Tell the story, share the story, live it out and welcome others in.Experience the miracle.

Christmas-The Adoption Story-The Son of God became a son of a man and a woman so that we could become sons and daughters of God. Jesus, adopted into an earthly family so we could be adopted into a heavenly/forever family.Experience the miracle of adoption.

Advent-coming, arriving, present. May the gifts you receive this Christmas be the ones that abide in your heart-the peace of God, the presence of God, the love of God. "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing".

Have you received His salvation? He came. He arrived. He is present. He is Redeemer. He is Savior. He is Jesus. He came for you.

Advent-coming,arriving,present.He spoke/breathed all creation into being...now His voice cries out from a lowly stable,His breath shows in the cold Winter air...The Creator of the universe,The Eternal Word,God become flesh and living among us...Immanuel-God with us...the baby wrapped in rags,lying on the hay in a feed ...trough...Jesus The Messiah...and the One Who spoke still speaks.Do/will you hear His voice today?

Advent-coming, arriving, present. Joy to the world, the LORD is come, let Earth receive her King, let every heart prepare Him room. Unto you is born...a Savior...Christ the LORD. As many as receive Him to them He gave the right to be children of God, to those who believe in His name.

I AM with you always...be strong and courageous, do not fear or be afraid for the LORD your God is with you always...I will never leave you or forsake you...I AM a Friend Who loves you all the time...I AM your ever present Helper. Thank You Jesus...I needed to remember/be reminded today.

Advent-coming, arriving, being present. This season/time of advent I'm remembering and giving thanks that Jesus came, that He is ever present with me, and that He is coming again. Thank You Father for the greatest gift. Thank You Jesus for delivering it.

Christmas Present, Immanuel

THE GOD WHO CAME...
Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.
Behold , the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel which means, God with us.
First proclaimed to the prophet Isaiah from the LORD Himself, then over seven hundred years later to a carpenter named Joseph from an angel of the Lord,
And so it was that when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman (Mary) , born to bring salvation from sin, a Savior, The Messiah...born...to redeem... that we might receive (to as many as would receive Him to them He would give the right to be called children of God) the adoption as sons. Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!"
STILL COMES...
I will not leave you Comfortless,
I will not leave you orphans,
I will come to you,
I will never leave you or forsake you,
I AM with you always,
I AM your ever present Helper,
I AM your Counselor,
I AM your Comforter,
I AM your Guide,
I AM your Constant Companion,
I AM Immanuel,
I AM The One True God,
I AM God with you,
Be still and know that I AM GOD.
I AM forever present,
I AM The Forever Present,
Receive The Present,
Embrace The Present,
Share The Present.

BEHOLD...

Behold a Child is born,
Behold a Son(The Son of God) is given,
Behold The Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world,
Behold The Man!
Behold your King,
Behold The King of kings,
Behold The LORD of lords,
Behold The WORD become flesh and dwelling among us.
His NAME...Wonderful,
His NAME...Counselor,
His NAME...Mighty God,
His NAME...Everlasting Father,
His NAME...Prince of Peace,
His NAME THE NAME Above all names,
His NAME is JESUS CHRIST.
