Observation Jesus saw the multitudes and was moved with compassion.
Application I, too, would see/look upon others as Jesus did, with compassion.
Prayer Lord Jesus, this day, every day You bless me with, may I look/see others through eyes of compassion, like You.
Scripture Mark 5:19 “Go home to
your friends and tell them what great things the Lord
has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.”-Jesus
Mark
6:34 Jesus,
when He came out, saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion
for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd.
Observation Jesus had compassion on people and
that compassion led to action.
Application I want to look at and see this world
more like Jesus, with compassion, and may that compassion lead me to take
action.
Prayer Jesus, I want to be more like You,
to look and this world more like You, to have compassion on others and that
compassion would move me to take action.
Scripture
Psalms 145:3, 5, 8, 15a, 17 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His
greatness is unsearchable. I will meditate on the glorious splendor
of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works. The Lord is gracious and full
of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The eyes of all look
expectantly to You, the
Lord is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works. The
Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call
upon Him in truth.
Observation The Lord is great beyond measure, His
works wondrous, gracious, compassionate, righteous, and merciful.
Application I will look to the Lord and call/cry
out to Him.
Prayer Lord, all that You are is beyond my
comprehension, yet I will seek You, yet I will cry out, looking and listening with
an open and receptive heart.
Scripture Lamentations 3:22-25 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.
Verse 41 Let us lift our hearts and hands to God in heaven.
Verse 58 O Lord, You have pleaded the case for my soul; You have redeemed my life.
Verse 5:19 You, O Lord, remain forever. Your throne from generation to generation.
Observation The Lord is a merciful, compassionate, faithful, eternal redeemer.
Application My faith and trust is in a merciful, compassionate, faithful, eternal Redeemer God.
Prayer Father God my faith and trust is in You alone.
SCRIPTURE Psalms 111:3-4
His work is honorable and glorious, and His righteousness
endures forever. He has made His wonderful works to be remembered;
The Lord is gracious and full of compassion.
Psalms 111:9-10
He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant
forever: Holy and awesome is His name. The fear of the
Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have
all those who do His commandments.
Observation
The LORD; great,
true, just, powerful, sure, upright, honorable, glorious, righteous forever, gracious,
full of compassion, redeemer, eternal, holy, awesome, to be held in reverence,
wise, to be forever praised.
Application The LORD is infinitely more than I could
ever need or imagine.
Prayer LORD GOD, my Father, You are exceedingly,
abundantly, above all I could ever ask, think, or imagine and I would forever
praise You.
Scripture Psalms 143:8 Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You.
Observation The fullness of God’s love and compassion is wholeheartedly available to me.
Application I would begin each day with a sensitivity to Your love and compassion toward me.
Prayer Father, God, I would be ever listening, ever looking to You, ever trusting, every day.
Scripture 2 Kings 19:15-16 Hezekiah prayed before the Lord and said, “Lord, God of Israel, enthroned above the cherubim, You are the God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. Incline Your ear, Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, Lord, and see; and listen to the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to taunt the living God.
2 Chronicles 32:7-8 “Be strong
and courageous, do not fear or be dismayed because of the king of Assyria
nor because of all the horde that is with him; for the One with us is greater
than the one with him. With him is only
an arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to
help us and to fight our battles.” And the people relied on the words of
Hezekiah king of Judah.

5:11 Indeed we count them blessed who endure.
You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by
the Lord—that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.
Observation The LORD GOD Who spoke all things into being hears/listens to
and sees me, He shows mercy and compassion, He gives strength and courage, He
helps me fight my battles, He gives me endurance and perseverance, He is
greater than any foe or trial that may come my way.
Application GREATER is HE WHO is in me than he
who is in this world.
Prayer
Thank YOU JESUS
for opening the doors/treasuries of heaven and pouring out to me mercy,
compassion, strength, courage, endurance, perseverance beyond measure and far
greater than any trial/battle/foe that may come my way.
Scripture

For great is Your mercy toward me, and
You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.

Observation You, Lord, are good, forgiving, compassionate, gracious,
longsuffering, and abundant in mercy and truth.
Application All that You are is beyond my comprehension, yet You offer it all
up to me and for me.
Prayer Father, thank You for Your goodness, forgiveness, compassion, grace,
longsuffering, mercy, and Truth, all beyond measure and comprehension, all
poured out to and for me.
