HOME-Four, Five, Six, Seven

Breathing, breathing, breathing...I remember the breathing. Stillness…I remember the stillness. Quietness…I remember the quietness. Still in bed…in the quietness I listened to/for your every breath. Still by the couch…in the quietness I listen to and count your every breath. “Be still and know that I AM God”…”In quietness and confidence is your strength”. With every breath...in the stillness…in the quietness then…in the stillness…in the quietness now…I knew…I know…I experienced…I am experiencing…Your presence…Your peace…Your strength…Your grace. Lingering...that's the word that came to mind...that's the word that described it...almost here, almost gone...I remember the lingering...as morning neared noon I sat beside you, held your hand and remembered the words to a song...
"When my way grows drear precious Lord linger near, When my life is almost gone,Hear my cry, hear my call, Hold my hand lest I fall,Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home ....
At the river I stand , Guide my feet, hold my hand , Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home...
I'm tired, I’m weak, Lord I’m worn , Through the storm, through the night, Lead me on to The Light, Take my hand precious Lord, lead me home."
I sang the words released your hand...in the stillness...in the quietness...no more breaths to hear or count...your hand passed from my feeble hand to His precious nail scarred hand as Jesus led you across the river, to The Light and welcomed you home.
-In the stillness...in the quietness...I remember. "I LOVE YOU POP!"

Victory In Jesus

Jesus went through the “valley of the shadow of death” for us…bearing our griefs, carrying our sorrows...wounded, bruised, crushed, punished, beaten, for us…defeating sin and death…providing the way for us to have peace with God-through the blood of His cross…paying the price for our sin…purchasing for us the gift of eternal life…thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. “Oh victory in Jesus, my Savior forever, He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood, He loved me…and all my love is due Him, He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.” Thank You, Jesus, for so loving me...I would love You more and share Your love.

The Peace of God

I hear the words “When peace like a river attendeth my way” and remember where peace can be found. Paul says in Philippians 4 that it can be found as our heart-prayers are voiced to God (v.6). By trustful praying, we unburden our hearts, divest our anxieties, and release the grip on our grief. And we can gain “the peace of God” (v.7)—an inexplicable, divine calmness of spirit. This peace supersedes our ability to understand our circumstances (v.7), and it is a guard on our heart, through Jesus, that protects us enough to allow us to whisper, even in the pain, “It is well with my soul.”-Borrowed from the pages of "Our Daily Bread" 3/06/10

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4;4-7
