Fall Back
24/7 has become a popular term, referring to "all the time", however, it does not apply to this first week in November. This week we have 25/1 and 24/6. People sometimes say, "there are only twenty four hours in a day" but today they would be wrong. On this November 2 there are twenty five hours in a day. How can that be? How does it work? Well, the simple answer is that you turn your clocks back one hour, technically it's suppose to occur at 2am, before you go to bed on November 1. But the more I think about it, the less I understand it, the more unexplainable it becomes. I could say that it gives us an hour back for a day back in Spring when we "sprung forward", setting our clocks ahead one hour, and experienced a twenty three hour day. Daylight savings time is what they call it. So, then, how to explain that? Today we are back to standard time. Standard? I suppose that means this is where our time is suppose to be? So, this is normal time until we spring forward again? Oh my! I think it's time to quit trying to understand time and start enjoying it because once it's gone we can't get it back even on a twenty five hour day.
Adoption Awareness
The month of November is "Adoption Awareness Month". Throughout this month I will be writing, sharing about the miracle of adoption. Drawing attention to the great need, opportunity, responsibility to minister to the fatherless and orphan.
We have been given the Spirit of adoption by which we cry out "Abba, Father!"

Remembering 9/11
'MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL' You say you will never forget where you were when you heard the news On September 11, 2001.Neither will I. I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room with a man who called his wife to say 'Good-Bye.' I held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the peace to say, 'Honey, I am not going to make it, but itis OK..I am ready to go.'I was with his wife when he called as she fed breakfast to their children. I held her up as she tried to understand his words and as she realized he wasn't coming home that night. I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when awoman cried out to Me for help. 'I have been knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!' I said.'Of course I will show you the way home - only believe in Me now.'I was at the base of the building with the Priest ministering to the injured and devastated souls. I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He heard my voice and answered. I was on all four of those planes, in every seat, with every prayer. I was with the crew as they were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of thebelievers there, comforting and assuring them that their faith has saved them. I was in Texas , Virginia , California , Michigan , Afghanistan. I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news. Did you sense Me? I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew every name - though not all know Me. Some met Me for the first time on the 86th floor. Some sought Me with their last breath. Some couldn't hear Me calling to them through the smoke and flames; 'Come to Me... this way... take my hand.' Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me. But, I was there. I did not place you in the Tower that day. You may not know why, but I do. However, if you were there in that explosive moment in time, would you have reached for Me? Sept. 11, 2001, was not the end of the journey for you. But some day your journey will end. And I will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are 'ready to go.'I will be in the stairwell of your final moments. GodFather's Day
One day, one Sunday in June, as summer approaches...chosen by whom? Chosen when? Chosen to be celebrated/recognized this time of year I know not why, nevertheless we call it Father's Day. It is a day to remember, a day to honor, a day to celebrate fathers and fatherhood.Today I sat outside encircled by the half globe of a cloudless blue sky, the sun shining brilliant bright, warm hot upon my face and arms I soaked it in while the slightest breeze barely rustled the leaves and brushed gently over my browning skin, and I listened as birds sung timeless melodies known only to them and their Creator, my Creator, my Father. I saw a bluebird and remembered a childhood song, "...my oh my what a wonderful day!" It is a wonderful day, this day that the LORD has made, this gift the LORD has given, I will (do) rejoice and be glad in it(another childhood song)! I rejoice and am glad in Him! I rejoice and am glad in the gift of eternal life He has given! I rejoice and am glad that at this very moment, somewhere beyond the blue sky I see is another cloudless sky where the Son is the sun shining in the fullness of His glory in that eternal homeland! I rejoice and am glad that at this very moment my father is there with his Father rejoicing and glad! I rejoice and am glad that one day, one timeless day, I will join them there too! Until that day I will live loving my LORD, my God, my Father, my Abba, with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength! I will live a life that honors and glorifies my Father! I will live a life of love that honors my father, my pop!
