God's Temple

I am currently on day 30 of reading and journaling my way through the Bible and thought I would revive my blog by sharing my daily entries following the format; Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Hope it is an encouragement to someone today.

Scripture Exodus 25:22 There I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the Testimony, about everything which I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel.

Observation God gave very specific instructions concerning where He would meet with and speak to the priests concerning God’s children.

Application Today, this moment, I do not have to go to a specific place to be in God’s presence, I can meet with my God and Father, and hear His voice, wherever I am because my body is His temple.

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.- 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Prayer Thank You, Father, for Your ever abiding presence within me through Your Holy Spirit, wherever and whenever my body is Your temple.

Inconvenient Opportunities

God can use inconveniences in our lives if we look at them as divine appointments. God can turn obstacles into opportunities.-And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.-Romans 8:28

A Proverb Prayer

Father, You have given me ears to hear and eyes to see,

May my ears be open to the cry of the poor and the helpless,

May I have a generous eye and give unsparingly,

A doer of righteousness and justice,

A follower of righteousness and mercy,

A seeker of wise counsel,

May I walk in integrity,

A man of a pure heart and gracious words,

A hearer, knower, sharer, doer of Your Word,

My trust is in You.

Amen. Proverbs 20-22

Where are you living?

The middle of the road is a poor place to walk. It is a poor place to drive. It is a poor place to live.-Vance Havner

And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”-Joshua 24:15

THE TRUTH IS . . .

YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH was a quote feom A FEW GOOD MEN, which means you will not be able to accept or believe the truth!

THE TRUTH IS that JESUS IS THE TRUTH!
I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. No one comes to the FATHER except through ME.John 14:6
AND THE TRUTH about THE TRUTH is that HE can be accepted and believed in . . . But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: John 1:12

Back to Church

Hard to believe but this last Sunday April the 4th was my first time to be back in church in over a year.  Although I am thankful for all the churches who provided virtual services there is nothing like being together with fellow believers with my church family and worshipping and hearing God's Word preached. I am thankful for Erin Baptist Church and for my friend and pastor Jason.

ON THIS DAY APRIL 29

Christ is the central PIECE—and the central PEACE of life. His PARDON covers our faults. His PROMISES ensure our future. His PURPOSES give meaning to life. And His PROVIDENCE guides our steps. Christ’s PROVIDENCE reaches across the world, throughout all time, and into each of our lives. In Him we are complete.-David Jeremiah

God controls the time clock of life and the calendar of history. He orders our days, and as His children we can rest assured that our times are in His hands.-David Jeremiah
My times are in Your hand.-Psalm 31:15
Peace is the presence of God.
