When I think that the God of the universe knows my name, loves me, and calls me His own, I am overwhelmed.

The Name of JESUS stands alone in its prominence and position because He is The One Who brought us grace and Truth. Praise His Name!!!!

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face;
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace.

God often sends His help by way of human hands.

“You Are Not What You Think You Are, But What You Think, You Are!” What do you think?

Birthday breakfast, dinner, cake, balloons, cards, presents...great visits with family and friends and bunches of birthday wishes from my facebook peeps...was a GREAT Day! Loved, thankful and blessed! Everyone have a GREAT Day/week!

My Hope is in the BLOOD of the precious Lamb of God.There is no other fountain so sweet. It washed away my sins. Gave me Peace and Joy within. My Hope is in the BLOOD.

Heavenly Father, I am humbled at the thought/reality of Your constant, abiding presence. I am thankful that You will never leave me or forsake me.

People who find their complete security in the unchanging and Holy character of God will find True safety.
Oh, that men would praise the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men. ~ Psalm 107:8

Always pursue what is good both for yourself and for all.

Father, thank You for Your amazing, infinite grace! Let that grace reign in me and flow through me today

Lord, there is none like You, no one else can touch my heart like You do, I could search for all eternity long and find there is none like You.

Pray as if your life depended upon it. It does!

Thank You Father for dealing with me in Your love and compassion. Grant me the grace to do the same for others.

While we accept the Bible by faith, there’s plenty of evidence that it’s true. Let’s be diligent to study and share what we learn with others.

Father, it is my heart's desire to see with Your eyes.

Father, fill me with Your Holy Spirit that I may share Your love, mercy, and grace today.

God uses ordinary people to carry out His extraordinary plan.

The world hears enough bad news-today I've got some Good News!!! Jesus loves you and He demonstrated that love on the cross so that you could be forgiven, set free, and know the joy and peace of salvation!!!

Lord, I pray that I would not take my life for granted, but rather reflect on how precious it really is...use my life for Your glory, and may someone be blessed as they see You in me.

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." Romans 8:15

Relationships and spiritual contentment bring glory to God and fulfillment to people more than an abundance of possessions,

Our loyalty to Jesus should be seen and heard in our lives.

Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! "Thank You, Father!"

Help me to see others with Your eyes and serve them as You would.

The LORD will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me-A prayer to the God of my life. ~Psalm 42:8

Sometimes a guy just wants the impossible.-Can you name the movie and character?

When Jesus Christ, the Son of God, literally laid down His life for us, He was saying, "This is how much I love you-more than My own life."

Our times are in God’s hands; our souls are in His keeping. “I trust in You,” the psalmist said, recognizing that his life was in God’s hands alone (vv.14-15). Are you trusting God for whatever comes next on your calendar?

My salvation is from the LORD; He is my strength in time of trouble. ~Psalm 37:39

"There is nobody like Jesus!"

I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, for You have considered my trouble; You have known my soul in adversities. ~Psalm 31:7

Dark clouds, clapping thunder, rushing wind, pounding rain,...fulfilling His Word. "I will Praise You in this storm".

Lord, help me to live the abundant life that You provide for me. I know it can only be found in You.

Whatever you are facing today, the power of the living Lord Jesus is more than adequate to handle it.

Father, You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. ~Psalm 15:11

Status Week Nineteen 2010

Being religious is not the same as having a relationship with the living Christ.

So thankful HE knows my name.

Jesus paid the ultimate price, and it is because of His sacrifice and His sacrifice alone that we can have eternal life when we put our trust in Him.

Jesus died for the sins of the world, but He also died for our sins individually. It was our sin that put Him on the cross.. He has won the victory, and we have the chance to share in that victory as we put our trust in Him.

By His grace God continues to use life’s twists and turns to reshape us into more Christlike persons, “conformed to the image of His Son” (Rom. 8:29).

Your name, O LORD, endures forever, Your fame, O LORD, throughout all generations. ~Psalm 135:13

“Do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”

Status Week Eighteen 2010

Understanding and appreciating God’s love is so vital that Paul prayed for the Ephesians to be “rooted and grounded” in it. May that be our experience as well. There is no greater joy than to know God loves you.

God often uses common everyday events and people to carry out His great plan.

Because Jesus came and fulfilled His purpose, I can now fulfill my God-given purpose, too!

I LOVE MY MOM

I have tried Jesus and found Him to be everything I need.

When faith cries out, "Lord, save me!" the hand of God reaches down and picks me up.

REMEMBER THE MAY DAY

There are days, dates, moments in time that are forever etched in my memory. This day deemed "Mother's Day" brings many memories to my mind, heart, and tears to my eyes. So many life changing moments connected to this day, this month of May, and my Mom. It was six years ago, May 2004 when the "C" word made its appearance in our family, through my Mom...breast cancer...since that diagnosis and subsequent surgery, she has remained cancer free...thank You LORD.The following year, 2005, on the day after Mother's Day, I took a fall in my chair, and broke my left orbital bone. Then there was/is 05/06/07, when my Dad left this world and entered into his eternal home.

Judge Declares Prayer Unconstitutional - Here's What You Can Do‏

Last week, Barbara Crabb, a federal judge appointed by former president Jimmy Carter, declared that the National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional. Bizarrely, she said it is a violation of the First Amendment.

Yet the tradition of national days of prayer goes back to our very first congress and our first president. Just two days after members of Congress passed the First Amendment, they asked President George Washington to declare a national day of thanksgiving and prayer. In response to this request from Congress, President Washington, less than a week after passage of the First Amendment, issued just such a proclamation on October 3, 1789.

From a merely historical point of view, this makes it clear that it is preposterous to suggest that there is anything unconstitutional about a national day of prayer. Judge Crabb seems dangerously unaware of American history and the true meaning of the First Amendment, which was designed to protect freedom of religious expression, not stamp it out.

On Thursday, May 6, I invite you to participate in Meet At City Hall from 12:20 pm to 12:40 pm during the National Day Of Prayer. At thousands of city halls across the country, individuals will gather to pray for a moral rebirth in our country. The National Day of Prayer is an annual event established by an act of Congress which encourages Americans to pray for our nation, its people and its leaders.

DEAR MR. GOD Lyrics

DEAR MR. GOD Lyrics from the movie, "Letters to God"

Dear Mr. God,
I’m writin’ You today
Because it seems like lately
I’ve forgotten how to pray
I know I don’t need this pen
But everybody likes to get
A letter now and then
I’m sorry for not writin’ more

Chorus:
‘Cause I need you
But it’s hard to see
Why anyone as big as You
Needs anything from me
I know You’re there
So how ya been?
I’m alright but I can’t lie,
Sometimes I feel like givin’ in
You’re all I’ve got

Dear Mr. God,
Sometimes I wish
You lived next door
So over coffee You could tell me
What You started all this for
I guess you saw
That sunrise yesterday
Thanks for the reminder
That You’re never gone away
It gives me hope
Telling You what You already know

I need you
But it’s hard to see
Why anyone as big as you
Needs anything from me
I know You’re there
So how’ve You Been?
I’m all right but I can’t lie
Sometimes I feel like givin’ in

Dear Mr. God,
Tell me do You ever cry
When we forget to thank You
For the good things in our lives?
I know I can’t always understand
Why You do the things You do
But I know in the end
I’ll make it through
If I stand next to You
So here I am

Dear Mr. God,
I’m writin’ you today
Because it seems like lately
I’ve forgotten how to pray

NO WORRY

This morning I hear the birds singing outside and I am reminded of His provision for all creation..."His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me"..."Jesus is my portion, a constant Friend is He...", a Friend Who loves, provides, protects, cares for me at ALL times"...remember how valuable you are to God, remember the price He paid to bring you into His family, remember how He demonstrated His love for you..."Your heavenly Father knows you completely, He knows what you Need, He will take care of you...don't worry, trust Him completely, pray, cast All your cares upon Him for He cares for you. Don't worry about tomorrow, remember His faithfulness, He will graciously care for you moment by moment this day...His grace is sufficient...walk step by step this day, by faith. NO FEAR HERE

God can sanctify our circumstances, pain, sufferings, failures, etc….He is there with you…in your weakness He is strong…”I will fear no evil for You are with me…You will comfort me”. There is no fear in love for perfect love casts out fear. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. Whatever your circumstance His presence will/does make a difference…He will give you the comfort and grace you need here and now, moment by moment, and for eternity…and there will be no more sickness and no more pain for the former things have passed away…”For this corruptible will put on incorruption, and this mortal will put on immortality..Death will be swallowed up in victory…thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ…therefore be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord…that work is eternal…do not grow weary in well doing…there is eternal reward. God will give you the strength and comfort you need and enable you encourage, be a help and comfort to others…comfort one another with the comfort with which He has comforted you. –Just a thought, a wonderful, glorious thought…for the believer death is an illusion, not a reality, we have abundant, eternal life, death is just a shadow we walk through and when we pass to the other side there will be no more shadows, The Light will be all around us, The Life will never end…There will be no more sun, moon, stars because The Lamb of God and The Father will be The Light in/of that city. Therefore comfort each other with these Words, this Truth. DC-MR

Status Week Ten 2010

“Oh victory in Jesus, my Savior forever, He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood, He loved me…and all my love is due Him, He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.” Thank You Jesus for so loving me...I want to love You more and share Your love.

Help me this day, O Lord, to be sensitive to any and all opportunities I have to meet, in the Name of Jesus, the needs of others, and to share Jesus through these opportunities. May my words this day encorage others.

Your love, O God, would spare no pain,To conquer death and win;You sent Your only Son to die,To rescue us from sin. Has heaven rejoiced over your rescue? If so, join the ranks of those who reach others with the rescuing grace of Jesus.

The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Thank YOU JESUS for the gift...I will treasure it, live it, and share it.

Victory In Jesus

Jesus went through the “valley of the shadow of death” for us…bearing our griefs, carrying our sorrows...wounded, bruised, crushed, punished, beaten, for us…defeating sin and death…providing the way for us to have peace with God-through the blood of His cross…paying the price for our sin…purchasing for us the gift of eternal life…thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. “Oh victory in Jesus, my Savior forever, He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood, He loved me…and all my love is due Him, He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.” Thank You, Jesus, for so loving me...I would love You more and share Your love.

Paths of Righteousness

God’s way is a narrow way-will lead us in the way/paths of righteousness-in agreement with His Word, in sync with The Holy Spirit. Righteousness is doing what is right-doing the right thing under God, ask Him what is the right thing to do. God gives us His righteousness through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ…ask yourself “is what I’m doing right in God’s eyes?” What we do reflects on our God/Father, how people see Him, we bear His Name, how do people perceive God based on my lifestyle? Lifestyle, character, decisions all reflect on Him. “He leads us in the paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake”. Ask for, seek, yield to His leadership…walk by faith, fully trusting Him, and your life will glorify Him. People are watching us, e.g., home, work, etc…are they seeing Him in/through us, that we are His children? “Christ in us, the hope of glory…we were/are born again unto a living hope”…people are searching for real/true/lasting hope, we have it, let’s live it, let’s show it, that others may see it and receive it too. There’s a world in need all around us, in our everyday lives…”let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Today let’s seek first His righteousness…let’s be living testimonies, vessels, instruments in/through which His light, The True, Eternal Light shines. “Father, Abba, thank You for making us Your children, for adopting us into Your family, for loving us…thank You Jesus for giving us the right, privilege, to be children of God, and to have You as our Brother, may others see in/through us today the family resemblance, I pray.”

Attitude reflects on leadership...I want my attitude to reflect that I am under Your leadership, Father.

The Peace of God

I hear the words “When peace like a river attendeth my way” and remember where peace can be found. Paul says in Philippians 4 that it can be found as our heart-prayers are voiced to God (v.6). By trustful praying, we unburden our hearts, divest our anxieties, and release the grip on our grief. And we can gain “the peace of God” (v.7)—an inexplicable, divine calmness of spirit. This peace supersedes our ability to understand our circumstances (v.7), and it is a guard on our heart, through Jesus, that protects us enough to allow us to whisper, even in the pain, “It is well with my soul.”-Borrowed from the pages of "Our Daily Bread" 3/06/10

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4;4-7

True Happiness

Happiness is not a matter of circumstances-being full of the Word of God is a protection for your feelings, keeps/gives you calm in the midst of life’s turmoil-fix your mind upon the Word/Jesus, be full of the Word of God, focus on Him, fix your love on Him, pray specifically. God can/will make you able to cope in the midst of life’s circumstances. God is in control…will give you strength/grace you need.

Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God-Psalm 146:5

He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he.-Proverbs 16:20

Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding- Proverbs 3:13

Love Verses/Passages

“TWENTY EIGHT LOVE VERSE/PASSAGES

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." Mark 12:30-31

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
John 13:34-35

"As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.
John 15:9-10

“And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them." John 17:26

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:5

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 1 John 3:16

In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 1 John 4:9

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! 1 John 3:1

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
1 John 4:10-12

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:35-39

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Galatians 5:22-23

that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height- to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19

And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. Ephesians 5:2

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. Colossians 3:12-14

Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:5

But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. 1 timothy 6:11

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.2 timothy 1:7

Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 timothy 2:22

And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins."1 peter 4:8

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 1 John 4:16-18

We love Him because He first loved us. 1 john 4:19

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:2-3

A friend loves at all times. proverbs 17:17

And I will delight myself in Your commandments, Which I love. psalms 119:47

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. 4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. 13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13

Status Week Six 2010

Father, may Your love as a holy fire burn in and through my life.

Father, I pray that You will live the life and love of Jesus through me.

Let us walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us.

Father, open my eyes to see people who need to know Your love and may Your love show through me.

Lord, let my life speak of and show forth Your divine love. I pray that each one who reads this may know of and receive Your secure eternal love.

Lord, build me up in Your love so that I can build others up.

For believers, no matter where our journey leads, our walk with God will last for eternity! God's LOVE and our relationship with Him is eternal. "For I have LOVED you with an everlasting LOVE."

Status Week Five 2010

Nothing changes the eternal purpose of God and nothing can seperate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

"By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."-Jesus

Lord, I pray that Your love will be displayed in my life and that I may be known as a person of love.

Lord, my prayer is that love would flow from my heart the way it flows from your heart.

God speaks through His Word to those who listen with their heart.

This morning as a bright snowy blanket glistens in the sunlight I am reminded of Who sends the snow,His brightness and purity,of the Light and pureness He makes available and will/does bring into our lives.-"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord,"Though your sins are like scarlet,They shall be as white a...s SNOW; Though they are red like crimson,They shall be as wool."

His head and hair were white like wool, as white as SNOW, and His eyes like a flame of fire... His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength and when I saw Him, I fell at His feet...but He laid His right hand on me, and said,"Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I AM He who lives and was dead and b...ehold I AM alive forevermore. Amen."-That's my Jesus, looking forward to the day I fall at His feet.

As the rain comes down, and the SNOW from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Lord, enable me to praise You, no matter the circumstance, so that others may see You in my life.

Status Week Four 2010

Thank You, Lord, that You promise to be with me no matter what comes my way. Please enable me to be strong and live for You.

Father, help me today to focus on Your Word, encourage everyone with whom I come into contact, and to love unconditionally.

Father, help me to persevere today through whatever hardship I may face and empower me to trust in You.

Father, help me this day to read/meditate upon the promises in Your Word and be confident and at peace that You will accomplish all You desire to accomplish in and through my life.

Lord, today, let Your Word have its full effect in my life to make me more like Jesus.

Father, give me eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to receive what You will have for me this day. I commit myself to follow You as You lead me by Your Word.

There are special times in our life, and surprising moments when we are reminded of just how much we are loved and experience the sweetness of God's love. Now is one of those times, today was one of those moments. Thank You Father for loving me and for those You have placed in my life who love me and that I love. I want to love others more like You love me.

Lord, help me today to apply Your principles to my daily life and make Your paths my paths, to make Your priorities my priorities.

Grace-Amazing-Love

This song is on my mind/heart this morning and it sparked other thoughts, meditations, verses, songs, and a thankful heart... wanted to share it with you...

Amazing Grace
How sweet the sound
Amazing Love
Now flowing down
From hands and feet
That were nailed to the Tree
As Grace flows down and covers me

Chorus
It covers me
It covers me
It covers me
And covers me

I can still remember my Dad saying, "Where would we be without grace?"
My thought and response , "I'm glad we don't have to know".

Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher/Perfecter of our faith, Who for the joy set before Him endured the cross..."My joy I give unto you...My grace is sufficient for you"...the grace of God has appeared unto all...by grace you have been saved through faith, not of yourself, it is The Gift of God...thanks be to God for His indescribable Gift...Thank You, Jesus, for delivering The Gift, for paying the price; the gift only You could/can deliver, the price only You could/can pay...for we were/are not delivered by perishable things like gold and silver but with/by the precious blood of Jesus,The Spotless Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world. For there is no other name, given under heaven by which we must/can be saved.

ONCE AGAIN

Jesus Christ, I think upon Your sacrifice
You became nothing, poured out to death
Many times, I've wondered at Your gift of life
I'm in that place once again
I'm in that place once again

CHORUS-
And once again I look upon the cross where You died
I'm humbled by Your mercy and I'm broken inside
Once again I thank You
Once again I pour out my life

Now you are, exalted to the highest place
King of the heavens, where one day I'll bow
But for now, I marvel at this saving grace
I'm full of praise once again
I'm full of praise once again

CHORUS-

Thank you for the cross
Thank you for the cross
Thank you for the cross, my Friend.

How much does God/Jesus love us? Just take time to look to, focus on His cross...uts everything into perspective.

This moment, this day, I remember/focus and am both humbled by His love/sacrifice and thankful beyond words to describe/express. Also, I am reminded of the verse in Philippians, "Let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus"...and of Jesus' own words to us in the Gospels, "Love one another as I have loved you". I want that mind and to love like that, more like Jesus.

Status Week Three 2010

Father, thank You for being God on Your terms rather than ours. May Your name be hallowed as we wait on You. May Your kingdom be reflected in our patience. May Your will be done in our disappointments. Please, give us this day our daily bread.

Jesus doesn't want part of your life; He wants to be your life.

Father, open my eyes to comprehend Your Word, Your revelation of Yourself, Your one and only Son, Jesus.

Learning to balance contentment with a desire for excellence may be the forgotten key to our ongoing spiritual growth and advancement.

Our earthly relationships are greatly enhanced by our spiritual intimacy with God as the first and most important thing in our lives.

We can choose to live with thankfulness for God’s mercy and grace, with confidence in His faithful care, and with hope because He is with us forever. Today, God offers us a second chance in life. Let’s make the most of it!

Status Week Two 2010

Father, help me to remember that in my own strength I cannot live the life You have called me to live, but I can do ALL things through Christ Who gives me strength. Help me to walk in that strength today.

Living according to God's Word is the way of/to inner peace, continuous joy, and spiritual victory.

When we obey God's Truth/Word, we will see positive changes in our lives.

We all have others who are observing us. Let’s live our lives in such a way that those who follow our example will help others in their walk with God.

People who follow Christ lead others in the right direction.

Never be afraid to entrust the unknown future to the all-knowing God.

Lord, I am learning to always hope in Your Word...please give me a fresh start this day...please stabilize my faith and may I find my purest delight in You.

Status Week One 2010

Lord, I desire to be taught by You today that I may know and obey. Please work in my heart that I would be overwhelmed with delight in doing Your will. "Teach me Your Word and I shall keep it to the end."

Lord, may my heart be desperate for a deeper, loving relationship with You. Oh God, help me to never take You for granted, and may I never place my ultimate dependence on anyone but You.

No deed is too small when done for Christ. "Whatever you do, do it with all of your heart, as unto the Lord."

The challenge before us as followers of Christ is to serve Him with excellence now so that we can hear His words, “Well done”.

Open the eyes of my heart, ,LORD...let me see You, let me see like You see...I want to love You more and love more like You love.

What a comfort to know that God is always with us—we don’t need to go through life alone! "I will never leave you or forsake you"

God’s faithful care will extend to every day of the new year. We can count on that promise."I AM with you always...My grace is sufficient"

To everything there is a season. A time for every purpose under heaven.

Five Challenges for the New Year

Num. 13:1-12,17-20

1) Reprioritize your life
Focus on the Blessor (not really a word) not the blessings. It's about Jesus!! The 10 spies were concerned about the fruit of the land. How much, how big, etc. . .

2) Become a Risk-taker
Satan helps in building our walls. The walls need to come down in order for the reward to be maximized.

3) Embrace your struggles
If we can embrace the struggle, then we can learn the lesson, then we are able to give encouragement to those that may be going through the same thing. Struggles are good~they build us up so we can build up others. Think of all the men in the Bible who were NOT delivered from their struggle. Noah, Moses, Joseph with his bros., Samson, Daniel, even Christ. They had to go through the struggle to become life-changing agents for the Word of God.

4) Look Beyond your Circumstances
Faulty assumptions lead to faulty conclusions. When the spies took their eyes off Jesus, their focus became distorted. This lead to exaggeration about the people in the land and caused them to want to quit.

5) Envision the Extraordinary
God is so much bigger than we can possibly imagine. The spies forgot what God had said and their outlook was too small. Joshua was just an ordinary man but had extraordinary vision AND did something with his vision.
